About Home Reset
Home Reset is a collection of free, interactive tools for cleaning, organizing, decluttering, and resetting a home. Instead of a generic checklist, each tool asks a few quick questions and builds a plan sized to your actual space, time, and household — a small apartment gets a different plan than a five-bedroom house, and someone with fifteen minutes gets a different plan than someone with an hour.
The site exists for one simple reason: most cleaning and organizing advice is written for an idealized home and an idealized amount of free time. Home Reset is built for the version of home organization that fits into an actual, busy week.
Who it's for
Busy parents, renters, first apartments, small spaces, and anyone who feels overwhelmed by where to start. You don't need to know anything about home organization to use these tools — that's the point of them.
How the tools work
Every tool asks a short set of questions — about your space, your time, and your biggest problem — and turns your answers into a specific, checkable plan. There's no account to create and no personal information required to use a tool. Where a tool saves your progress, it does so in your own browser, not on a server.
Our approach
Small, realistic steps beat perfect, unrealistic ones. Every plan a tool generates is meant to be something you could actually finish today, not an aspirational list that makes the problem feel bigger. We'd rather give you one honest 15-minute task than a fantasy version of a fully organized house.
How the site is funded
Home Reset is supported by advertising, and may in the future recommend specific products (for example, storage bins for a closet plan) through affiliate links. Recommendations are chosen because they're genuinely relevant to the plan you just built, not the other way around — see our Editorial Policy for how that works.
